Wendy Ellison, RD
I am a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and a Licensed Dietitian in the state of Washington and Oregon. I started my career in 2020 as a clinical dietitian in a hospital setting where I completed thorough nutrition assessments and monitored health status of many types of patient issues. I have experience working with patients in intensive care and those dealing with diabetes, end-stage renal disease, heart failure, cancer, eating disorders, pregnancy, and pediatrics.
I acknowledge that everyone is different and nutrition should be tailored to individual goals. I am fiercely passionate about bringing the joy back to eating through ditching diet rules and trend eating. I strive to help my clients achieve individual overall health and wellness by cultivating healthy behaviors and thinking patterns. I am also a Board Certified Nutrition and Exercise Physiologist, emphasizing the importance of physical activity in addition to nutrition as a key to reach health goals.

I work with clients collaboratively to incorporate food and physical movement in pursuit of health goals and achieving an overall better quality of life.
Initial Intake
Our first meeting will be a thorough discussion of your history, medical conditions, concerns, relationship with food, goals, and more. Prior to this meeting, you will complete an in-depth intake questionnaire. I will likely ask you follow up questions and will work to understand you as best as possible. The intake session is usually 60 minutes. I provide treatment through telehealth only (video or phone).

Nutrition Sessions
Short term and long term treatment is available depending on your nutrition goals. Typically, sessions are weekly or bi-weekly at the start of treatment. Some clients prefer to continue frequent sessions to maintain their progress and address new issues or stressors. Others choose to schedule monthly sessions or as needed. You determine what is best for you. Sessions are usually 60 minutes. Most insurance plans cover nutrition counseling. Check with your insurance carrier for session limits and coverage benefits.
